AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

 

The Ragsdale Family YMCA offers member discounts on after school care and offers three options for care for kids Kindergarten through middle school:

After school only, after school with holidays, and year-round

All day programs are also available when Guilford County Schools are closed for teacher workdays and holidays. All days operate from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm and are open to children outside of our after school program.

Schools serviced include Florence Elementary, Jamestown Elementary, Millis Road Elementary, Pilot Elementary, and Jamestown Middle School.

* Please note that our program requires 3 registered participants from each school in order to provide pick-up service.

The after school program follows the Guilford County School schedule. Our workdays, out of school days and holiday breaks follow the County school schedule.

Activities include: homework time, snack, arts and crafts, character building, sports, outdoor games, board games, fitness activities, and swimming once per week and on out of school days

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 2:30 - 6:00 pm; Teacher Workdays 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

The YMCA strives to develop the whole child with diverse activities for the spirit, mind and body.

Please note: the YMCA cannot guarantee that transportation will be available from every school in our service area. The YMCA will provide transportation from any school location with a minimum of three after-school program registrations from children at that school as of the beginning of the school year. If registrations drop below the minimum of three children at any point in the school year, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel transportation from that school with a 30-day notice to the parents.

We offer financial assistance for all programs at the Ragsdale YMCA through our Open Doors Scholarship Program.

SPRING BREAK CAMP

Are you looking for an adventure for your child to take over Spring Break? The Ragsdale Family YMCA has just the place! Join us for our Kidd-Venture Spring Break Camp. Spring Break runs Monday, April 9th through Friday, April 13th. Therefore, we have 5 days to have an absolute blast! This week will be filled with fun games and activities, arts and crafts, outdoor fun, daily swimming, movies, field trips and a whole lot more!
