
The Ragsdale YMCA Aquatics Program offers a variety of swim lessons for all ages, from infant to adult, and all experience levels, in group or private settings. Additionally we offer water fitness and pool time for lap swim and recreational time for the family.

Please notice the large signs detailing pool rules which our lifeguards and swim instructors are now enforcing. Here is a sampling of the rules which are being newly enforced:

Class Dates: July 21, 2008 - July 29, 2008
Class Times: Monday - Friday, 6:00pm - 10:00pm
Sunday 9:30am - 6:00pm
(There will be no class on Saturday)
Cost: $170 YMCA Members $190 Non-Members
This class will certify each participant in CPR/PR, AED, Blood Bourne Pathogens, O2, and Lifeguard Rescuer. For more information, please contact Scott Cobb at 336-882-9622.

These stroke clinics are intended for children/youth that have worked at the swim team level and need to improve their technique on various strokes, dives, and flip turns.
1st Session: 2nd session: 3rd session:

4th session:
July 29th-30th
7pm-8:30pm
Registration for clinics will always start a week before the start of a clinic.
Cost for Members is $40 and
Non-Members is $70.

WATER FITNESS CLASSES
Did you know that a 30 minute walk in the water is equivalent to a two hour walk on land? Water resistance offers an excellent opportunity for muscle toning and body sculpting. Water also cools the body during exercise which reduces stress on the heart and reduces the risk of injury by lessening the impact on weight-bearing joints, muscles, and bones.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A SATURDAY WATER FITNESS CLASS?
If the answer is yes, then please sign your name on the interest list located in the pool area! We are looking for at least 5 people that want to come on Saturday mornings from 8am-9am for a Combo Water Exercise class!
The class will not start until June 28th, and will run an 8-Week session until August 16th!
When signing up please leave a phone number where you can be contacted if further information is needed.
Combo class includes the following:
Shallow water workouts
Deep water workouts
Abdominal workouts
Cardio workouts
Arm and leg strength workouts
